Extra Long Fabric Shower Curtain
When a Standard Shower Curtain Is Not Long Enough
A standard shower curtain works well in many bathrooms, but not every shower space is built the same. Higher shower rods, taller ceilings, and unusual bathtub or shower layouts can leave a regular shower curtain looking too short or providing less coverage than you want.
An extra-long fabric shower curtain solves that problem by adding more vertical length while keeping the softer look of fabric. It can also make the bathroom feel more finished, especially when the shower curtain extends closer to the bathtub or floor.
Why Choose a Long Fabric Shower Curtain?
A long fabric shower curtain combines practical coverage with a more decorative appearance than many plastic alternatives. Fabric also provides a better surface for detailed artwork, which is useful if you want the shower curtain to become part of the bathroom design rather than simply serve a functional purpose.
At Shower of Curtains, we make our shower curtains from 100% polyester. The fabric is water-resistant, lightweight, quick-drying, and machine washable, making it suitable for everyday bathroom use.
Some shoppers use terms such as extra long cloth shower curtain or long cloth shower curtain when looking for the same general type of product. While "cloth" and "fabric" are often used casually in searches, polyester fabric offers the combination of softness, easy care, and detailed printing that works particularly well for artistic shower curtains.
Choosing the Right Extra-Long Shower Curtain
Base length on your actual shower space, not ceiling height alone. Measure from the shower curtain rod down to where you want the shower curtain to end, leaving enough clearance so it doesn't bunch excessively on the bathtub or floor.
One useful option is an extra long shower curtain 72x84, which measures 72 inches wide by 84 inches long, approximately 180 x 213 cm. It keeps the familiar 72-inch width while adding an extra 12 inches compared with a 72x72 shower curtain.
An 84-inch fabric shower curtain works especially well when the shower curtain rod is installed higher than usual or when a standard 72-inch length leaves too much space at the bottom.
Extra Length Without Giving Up Your Style
Needing a longer shower curtain does not mean settling for a limited range of plain designs. Shower of Curtains offers thousands of artistic options across floral, botanical, tropical, animal, abstract, gothic, funny, landscape, fantasy, and many other shower curtain styles.
Our shower curtains come in 10 standard sizes, including several extra-long and stall-size options. Custom sizing is also available when your bathroom needs dimensions outside the regular range.
If a standard shower curtain feels too short for your bathroom, choosing the right extra long fabric shower curtain can improve the fit while still letting the artwork become a distinctive part of the space.
